Daily Log for Chemistry

Class focused on a getting to know you exercise in which you were asked
to draw three things about yourself and present them to the group. Each person was then asked to repeat the names
of all people who when before they did.
We also have a quiz on everyone’s name tomorrow.
HW: Read the Opening Day information and return the portions with appropriate signatures and information.
Today we took our name quiz (15 points). We also completed a review sheet about the
class policies and discussed any questions you had.
Today we discussed what it means to be an Active vs. Passive learner. Next we started to review safety by identifying the various
pieces of lab equipment we will be using this semester. We then broke into groups so we could
prepare our safety skits which we will perform tomorrow.
Today we performed our safety skits and discussed what the
proper safety procedures for lab are.
For performing the skit and being a good audience member you earned 10
points for the assignment. Tomorrow
is our Safety Quiz and you must earn a 90% or higher if you want to do lab in
this class.
